Pass Plus
The Pass Plus driver training scheme is backed
by the Government, Driving Standards Agency and insurers. It is
designed to help newly qualified drivers to become better
drivers for life. The course helps you with areas of driving not
covered in the test.
The course consists of six specially designed
training sessions to develop road craft skills for safer and
better driving.
These follow on from a successful practical
driving test and include:
Training is carried out in either two or
three-hour time blocks, at times to suit you and the course needs, such as night
driving.
The driving can take place in either your own car or one of our
cars.
The cost of this course is from £135.00 for
6 hours in a manual car and from £144.00 in an automatic car.
The course can be completed in six hours, however may take an
hour or two extra, if you experience difficulty with any of the
individual driving elements.
You can take the Pass Plus driver training course, up to a year
after passing your practical driving test.
Once you have completed the course you will receive a
certificate from the Driving Standards Agency. Motor insurers
that support the scheme will give you a one year no-claims bonus
as soon as you insure your own car. The saving could more than
cover the cost of extra lessons.
We believe the course is worth while on it’s own
merit because it challenges your existing skills and helps
develop your car handling ability. Skills are gained faster
under instruction than by simply risking things on your own.
It will also be a lot more fun now you have a
licence to drive!
